Roget was a Taxonomist Too

There’s an interesting review of Joshua Kendall’s new biography of Peter Mark Roget, of thesaurus fame, over at the Wall Street Journal. Of course he was also a taxonomist and not just a synonymist, how could you think otherwise? (And a somewhat fanatical one, with hints that taxonomy work kept him protected against a streak of insanity in his family). Here’s a book I’m ordering forthwith. Must.Learn.How.To.Use.Taxonomies.To.Stay.Sane.
