Burglars Do Social Tagging Too

Following up from my post of yesterday acknowledging that small homogeneous communities can use consistent and useful folksonomies, here’s this intriguing post from the Pasta&Vinegar weblog about the tags that burglars put on houses – sharing their knowledge with their peers! I suppose this works to help them warn off competitors for the same property, and also to alert peers to properties that they have decided not to give a go at – a bit like referrals and client knowledge sharing between consultants?
